The road so far - and where to next

The road so far - and where to next

Its been a solid month since we launched the beta for early adopters, and a lot has happened in that timespan

The 12th of February we launched the beta of CSSkill.com after months and months of late nights with development. Boy, has it been a journey!

So, what has happened during this first month, what have we learned, and what are we going to focus on next?

First of all, I would just like to give a big thank you to all of those who has signed up and used our service so far. The growth so far has been organic and has helped us tremendously with finding bugs, feature flaws and gathering enough data to build data driven learning models for statistics and gameplay feedback features.

The introduction of seasons

Since the launch we have introduced our own seasons with season passes. These track your internal XP throughout a season and gives you the possibility to earn different achievements upon each tier. This can be anything from profile themes, avatar frames, real cs2 skins etc. Seasons, like every feature of our application is ofcourse free to use, but gives an alternative tier for those who has the extra money to spend and wants the extra feature. Thus we have both free tier, and season pass tiers, giving something to everyone.

We redesigned the reward system

Based on feedback from users, we redesigned the reward system from scratch, and introduced daily missions that are obtainable for all users no matter if your are on a paid plan or a premium membership.

Daily missions let you accumulate performance points that can be used in our shop.

For paying members, we introduced the "Member reward track". Complete daily missions each day, and progress in each months member reward track to unlock member specific value items.

Both of these systems introduce lucky draws whitch draws inspiration directly from the CS2 game that we all love, adopting the well known case opening spin

Daily races

In addition to the existing weekly races, we introduced more short-term driven daily races that refreshes every midnight

With the daily races you will find new challenges every day where you can compete against other users of the platform, earning RT and PP tokens for your outstanding performances

Social timeline

The new social timeline you will find on the homepage now lets you keep track of your friends, their performances and their achievements. This is updated live based on match performance, weekly race wins etc. hightlighting any standout performance or play made by your friends or foes

Match breakdown

We have also put a lot of effort into the match breakdown themselves. Tuning the data from all parsed demoes to be as accurate as possible while giving you valuable input and feedback on your good and bad plays, where you achieve, where you could do better, and where to focus next

2D Demo Replay - Timeline

The 2D Demo Replay is a free for all feature (for all time). However, we have introduced a new feature to it that will be available for paying members, called "the timeline". Here you can easily see every marked good and bad play you had in a match, and easily take a deep dive in to the data and jump to key moments directly in the demo replay.

So, as you can see, we have not retired even though we have launched. A lot has happened in one month, and there is still a lot more to come. We encourage feedback from our users, and we listen to you.

So, what are we focusing on, now that we have done all of this?

The next key point in our application is now the Live Picks feature. This allows you to follow CS2 events directly from the application in a social layer with a prediction engine built beneath it. Compete against other users and see who is most accurate in predicting the outcome of matches. This is still in an early face of our development, and we are still working on it. The feature is available for our users, but may contain limited feature for now.

There are also new features that have been introduced but not tested deeply yet.

These are "Looking for team", internally known as LFT. Which is ment to help users connect with other players based on statistical data.

We have also started the implementation of a "Rivals" feature, where you can invite friends or foes to accept a rivalry where you can compete against each other week to week.

Once again, i would just like to say that I am endlessly thankful for all that has signed up for our service so far, and that our focus is to make the absolute best CS2 Analytical Platform with reward features that recognizes players grinds, on the market.

Thanks.
